We were thrilled that Lu, aka Luisa, our granddaughter, brought the rest of her family with her… We have no less “LUv” for them, but all of us are especially enamored with our little bundle who turned 8 months old while she was in Grenada!
They arrived!!! We were so happy to have Amy, Marie, Lu, Ben, and Casey with us in Grenada!
Ben, aka Uncle Paca, got to try out the new baby backpack on our traditional arrival-in-Grenada walk up to “the point”!
Lu was out before we made it to the point!
Mommy and Mama at the point…
Aunt CC and Uncle Paca glowing in the golden hour.
From the cockpit, Lulu checked out where she’d be spending her first night in Grenada.
“Good morning! I’m ready for my first full day!” said little Lulu!
We had breakfast at the University Club.
After breakfast, Lu had her first dinghy ride with her life jacket on. We were headed to Calabash Beach…
Mark dropped off the first beach goers,
and soon returned with the second group…
We had the BEST BEACH DAY EVER!
Back on Nancy Lu, it was time for a nap…
We dropped our mooring in Prickly Bay to motor around the corner to moor in True Blue Bay where the two couples shared the cost of a room at True Blue Bay Resort where they took turns staying.
Lu and her moms stayed in the room first where they got ready for dinner at the resort restaurant and a special night out at Sabrina Francis’s yearly Wide Open Concert!
Lu slept through the concert with her noise cancelling earphones on! WHAT A FULL FIRST DAY!!
Playtime in the cockpit. Please don’t judge Lu’s choice of toys
!
Captain Granddad and Granny Kaykay stayed with Lu while her moms enjoyed some poolside time with Casey and Ben at the resort.
Lu did great on her dingy ride with Captain Granddad to meet the rest of her family poolside! What a special memory for us!
We took advantage of the empty yoga studio where I regularly do yoga to let Lu play. The rest of us took advantage of the yoga studio at different times…Captain Granddad got to babysit Lulu while Amy and I took a class one morning.
After dinner and Sequence, the game of choice for this year’s visit to Nancy Lu,
Mark shuttled the family of three back to the resort, and we called it a night.
Granny Kaykay and Granddad joined Lu and Amy at the resort while Casey, Ben, and Marie went on a must-do “Cutty Tour” of Grenada.
After Captain Granddad babysat Lu while Amy and I took a yoga class, we had a fun morning at the pool!
Next, we enjoyed lunch at the resort restaurant, Dodgy Dock, with Nancy Lu in the background. After a nap for Luisa at the resort, the return of the Cutty Tourists, a resort shower for all our guests, and dinner with everyone on the boat, it was Casey and Ben’s turn for resort sleeping!
We started the next day with some play time in the cockpit.
We celebrated Lu’s 8 mos. birthday poolside at the resort.
Mark and Ben walked to get us yummy doubles from our two doubles spots for a poolside lunch…Lu looked cute enjoying a banana!
That evening, we walked to the Container Park for a nice assortment of choices for dinner!
Lu was ready for a new day in the Caribbean!!
…But first, a morning nap…
Lu was ready for a new day in the Caribbean 2.0!
We motored north to the Underwater Sculpture Park…
Amy and Lu stayed on Nancy Lu while the rest of us snorkeled through the sculpture park with Mark keeping an eye on us from the dinghy…

The Nutmeg Princess
We were privileged to see a Carriacou wooden boat while we were snorkeling.
Back on Nancy Lu, it was time for a photo shoot, and
a little time of discovery in the cockpit before dinner and everyone spent the night on Nancy Lu again.
Again, please don’t judge Lu’s play toys. It’s Granny Kaykay’s fault.
With limited time before our guests met their taxi to the airport, Ben lightened the mood by imitating Captain Mark at the helm.
Sadly, it came time to say goodbye to our loved ones and hello to another lump in Granny Kaykay’s throat. As when Jenny left us, I dealt with the lump in my throat by looking forward to our next guests…
